Kitwe Animal Welfare Society (KAWS), established in January 2010, is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to the rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming of abandoned and abused animals in Kitwe, Zambia. Operating from Golf Course Road in Nkana West, KAWS provides shelter, veterinary care, and boarding facilities for cats and dogs. The society actively engages in community outreach, offering free rabies vaccinations, veterinary assistance, and limited spay/neuter services in underserved areas.
