Description
Kunzwana Women's Association, established in 1995, is a Zimbabwean non-governmental organization dedicated to empowering rural women. Operating in 17 districts across Zimbabwe, the association provides skills training, including digital literacy, at its rural training center in Macheke. With a membership of 7,800 women, Kunzwana supports former farm workers and rural women facing challenges due to climate change, economic downturns, and the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Through initiatives like Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs), Kunzwana fosters financial inclusion and entrepreneurship, enabling women to access affordable finance and improve their livelihoods. The association's comprehensive approach includes training in horticulture, garment making, and other trades, empowering women to diversify their income sources and achieve sustainable economic independence.
